Material & Care
Solid brass brings substantial weight, responsive warmth and lasting strength to a deeper gua sha ritual.
WHY YOU’LL LOVE IT
• Substantial weight for deeper, controlled pressure
• Responsive conductivity for warming or cooling rituals
• Durable and resistant to breakage and deformation
• A grounded material made for lasting daily use
BRASS CHARACTERISTICS
- Solid brass is naturally dense and substantial. Its weight helps deliver sustained, deeper-feeling pressure with less effort from the hand, while its conductivity allows it to respond quickly to the temperature of your hands, skin or preferred preparation.
- In traditional gua sha practice, warming massage and controlled pressure may be used along meridian pathways and acupressure areas as part of a ritual intended to encourage the movement of qi and blood.
CARE TIPS
- Clean with lukewarm water and mild soap, then dry immediately. Do not soak or expose the tool to abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals or prolonged moisture.
- Brass may naturally darken or develop a patina. If the tool is uncoated, a soft, non-abrasive brass polishing cloth may be used to restore its shine. Wash and dry it thoroughly before the next use.protective pouch.
FAQs
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF A BRASS GUA SHA TOOL?
The substantial weight of solid brass supports deeper, controlled massage without requiring excessive hand pressure. Brass also responds quickly to temperature and is durable enough for regular face or body rituals.
HOW MUCH PRESSURE SHOULD I USE?
Begin with light pressure and let the weight of the tool do the work. Temporary redness may occur during body gua sha, but red or purple marks are not required. Reduce the pressure if marking occurs easily or the area feels painful.
HOW OFTEN CAN I USE IT?
Begin with two or three sessions per week and increase gradually if your skin feels comfortable. Do not use over broken, infected, sunburned or irritated skin. Seek professional advice if you bruise easily, take blood-thinning medication or have a relevant medical condition.
HOW SHOULD I CLEAN AND STORE IT?
Wash briefly with mild soap, dry immediately and store away from moisture. Brass naturally reacts with air, moisture and skin oils, so darkening or patina may develop over time. This is a normal material characteristic rather than a defect.
